| Fix for a "hanging" PIO only mode on a device that should run in a higher mode. Using
device manager, make sure that DMA is set to Automatic. If when it is set to Automatic and you close device
manager, and then re-open it it should have changed the mode. If it still says "Automatic", but again says
PIO, then refer to the below screen-shot of a registry edit you can do. Make sure the
"MasterDeviceTimingMode" and "MasterDeviceTimingModeAllowed" are the same for the "Slave Device". Also the
bottom "UserSlaveDriveTimingModeAllowed" should match the 0xfffffffff Data also. |
